Holy Places

I just want to remind everyone that if you submit something it needs to be sourced.  All that’s needed is the URL where it can be found and associated with the photographer who took it.

If you’ve recently submitted something, even something that’s been published (I can make mistakes too!), if it doesn’t have a source or you think it might not, please write in our inbox or email us.  There are a few things I’d like to publish but can’t without a source!

Thank you!

Answer:

This is a great idea - thanks!  I do like to include photos of details on sacred architecture as well as the larger building.  I’ll keep this in mind!

Anonymous asked: Hello. Beautiful blog here, and i understand you're busy... do you perhaps need someone to help run the blog? it's a brilliant account; waste to see one post every two weeks/every month.

Answer:

Hello, and thank you.  I’m glad you enjoy the blog!

While I know I can be slow and sparse in updating, everything I post I do so with a lot of thought and intention.  Given the amount of tension religious discussion can hold, I am hesitant to share this blog with a stranger at present.

The best way to help me keep this blog going and posting more frequently is to submit suggestions and pictures.

Anonymous asked: Hi there, I'm a big fan of this tumblr, what religion are you? :)

Answer:

Hi there, anonymous!  We here at Holy Places try our hardest to keep this blog non-devotional, and we’re very private about our own religious beliefs, so I’m afraid I can’t answer this question.  Sorry!
